Ancient ARC

⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING

Before changing BIOS, TPM, Secure Boot, Virtualization, UEFI, or other security settings:

• Make sure you know your Windows account password
• Save your BitLocker / Device Encryption recovery key
• Do not rely only on your Windows PIN

Changing BIOS/security settings can sometimes cause Windows Hello PIN verification to reset or require recovery.

📘 Guide Here

1. PC Setup

  1. Disable Real-Time Protection & Antivirus Software
  2. Disable Exploit Protection (Google How To Do This)
  3. Disable HyperV
  4. Enable Virtualization

🛠️ FAQ / FIXES / ERRORS

❌ Please Launch SteelSeries Moment Overlay — GeForce

Solution

Disable and re-enable the GeForce overlay, then try again.

❌ Please Launch SteelSeries Sonar Overlay — SteelSeries

Solution

Press your configured Sonar bind before launching so the overlay is active.

Solution

Open:

SteelSeries → Settings → Moments → Capture and Sound

Disable:

Allow Moments to Capture While Gaming

Then restart the game.

❌ Please Disable Intel Rapid Storage Technology

Solution

Intel RST may conflict with the software.

Instructions / information:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/uninstalling-the-intelr-rapid-storage-technology/e3c4b6d6-56ba-4ac5-be50-89843c9d9b22

⚠️ WARNING

Do not randomly disable RAID / Intel RST from BIOS.

If Windows was installed using RAID or RST mode, changing it incorrectly can prevent Windows from booting.

❌ Bind Button Does Not Work

Solution

1. Close the application

2. Launch it again

3. Try loading again

If it still does not work, try launching the required overlay as Administrator.

❌ No Menu Appears / Loader Immediately Closes

Solution

Install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ x64 Runtime:

https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

After installation:

Restart your PC and try again.

❌ Unsupported Firmware

Solution

Your Windows installation should normally use:

• GPT disk partitioning
• UEFI BIOS mode

You can check BIOS mode by opening:

Windows Search → System Information → BIOS Mode

It should show:

UEFI

❌ Error 0x296

Solution

Close the application and load it again.

If the error continues, restart your PC before trying again.

❌ Unknown Network Error

Solution

Check your internet connection.

Try:

• Restarting your router
• Checking whether the service is online
• Testing without a VPN
• Syncing Windows date and time

❌ Failed to Allocate Memory / Failed to Map Memory

Solution

First:

Restart your PC and try again.

If the error continues, check unnecessary startup programs and old software.

Microsoft Autoruns:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns

⚠️ Do not randomly disable Windows or Microsoft system services/drivers.

Old drivers from previously removed software can sometimes remain installed and cause conflicts.

❌ Failed to Load Dependencies

Solution

Check that:

• The loader downloaded correctly
• Required Visual C++ runtimes are installed
• Windows is fully updated
• Required files are present
• Security software has not quarantined required files

If a file was quarantined, review the detection carefully before restoring anything.

❌ Please Uninstall Vanguard / FACEIT First

Solution

The software is detecting another anti-cheat or kernel-level application running on the PC.

Close the conflicting game/application and restart Windows before trying again.

❌ AES Instruction Set Is Not Supported

Solution

Your processor does not support the required AES instruction set.

This normally cannot be fixed through Windows or BIOS settings.

A supported processor is required.

❌ Please Enable Intel VT-X / AMD-V

Solution

Enter BIOS and look for one of these settings:

Intel

Intel Virtualization Technology
Intel VT-X

AMD

SVM Mode
AMD-V

Set virtualization to:

Enabled

Save BIOS settings and restart the computer.

❌ VMX / SVM Is Not Supported

- Solution: To fix this error, go to “Control Panel” -> “Programs and Functions” -> “Enable or disable Windows Functions” and make sure that “Virtual Machine Platform” and “Hyper-V” are disabled.

If the error persists, open cmd as an administrator and enter the following command without quotes “bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off”, then press Enter and restart the computer.

If the Windows 11 user and the previous methods did not help him, then you should run PowerShell as an administrator and paste the following command there (in full):

takeown /F “C:64.exe”
icacls “C:64.exe” /grant *$((\[System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).User.Value):For*\ *takeown /F "C:\Windows\System32\hvax64.exe"*\ *icacls "C:\Windows\System32\hvax64.exe" /grant \*$(([System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).User.Value):F
del “C:64.exe”
del “C:64.exe”

Step 2 — Check Windows Virtualization Features

Open:

Control Panel → Programs → Turn Windows Features On or Off

Check whether virtualization features are conflicting with the required configuration.

If you’re changing Hyper-V or related Windows virtualization features, restart the PC afterward.

❌ Virtual or RAID Disk Is Present

Solution

Check whether your system is using:

• RAID
• Intel RST
• Virtual disks
• Storage virtualization

⚠️ Do not simply disable RAID in BIOS.

Changing the storage controller incorrectly can stop Windows from booting.

Back up important data before making storage configuration changes.

❌ Unsupported Firmware — GPT / UEFI

Solution

The disk containing Windows may need to use:

GPT + UEFI

Windows includes the built-in:

MBR2GPT

utility for supported installations.

⚠️ Back up important files before converting partitions or changing BIOS boot mode.

❌ CRD Failed at XXX / Failed to Init Render

Desktop PC

The GPU may:

• Be unsupported
• Need updated drivers
• Be incorrectly selected

Update the GPU drivers and try again.

Laptop

Hybrid graphics may cause rendering problems.

Try:

• Updating both GPU drivers
• Selecting the dedicated GPU for the game
• Using Borderless Windowed mode

Avoid disabling the integrated GPU in BIOS unless you know the laptop supports running entirely from the dedicated GPU.

❌ Incorrect HWID

Solution

Open Command Prompt as Administrator.

Check disk information:

wmic diskdrive get Caption, SerialNumber

Check motherboard information:

wmic baseboard get SerialNumber

If either command produces an error, Windows may be having trouble reading hardware information through WMI.

Try:

• Restarting Windows
• Checking Windows system files
• Checking WMI health

A complete Windows reinstall should normally be a last resort, not the first fix.
